Variety Night 2021

The annual showcase of MacKillop talent

After being postponed from its original Term 3 date due to the lockdown, the annual Variety Night finally took place in Week 8, Term 4 in the Moira Najdecki Theatre.

Due to COVID restrictions, the event was performed to a limited audience of teachers and Year 12 students whilst being filmed and made available to members of the wider College community.

Students delivered a range of stunning vocal and instrumental performances, breathtaking dance pieces, emotional drama routines, musical theatre, calisthenics, and comedy, with all proceeds being donated to the local organisation, MacKillop House.

Congratulations to all involved, particularly Performing Arts Captain Callum Doherty, who worked so hard to ensure the event happened in these challenging times.

Acknowledgement of Country

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
