The Honours Assembly

Honouring the achievements of 2021

The College held its annual Honours Assembly on Tuesday 22 February at the St Peter’s Campus.

The Honours Assembly, which is held every February, acknowledges the achievements of MacKillop’s senior students from the previous year. It was held in a digital format this year due to COVID restrictions.

The Assembly commenced with an address from our Principal and the presentation of the 2021 College Dux, Stephen Burg. Stephen spoke with Mr Lee about the influence of his teachers and his pursuit of a PhB at the Australian National University.

This was followed by the presentation of a range of academic, community, and leadership certificates, as well as the Year 11 2021 Perpetual Awards.

The College congratulates all recipients on their achievements in 2021!

Acknowledgement of Country

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
