The 2016 school year commenced yesterday, with the College welcoming its new Year 7 students to the Wanniassa Campus.
The Isabella Campus was also in action as Years 10, 11, and 12 started the year smoothly, despite the campus having to deal with minor damage from the storms that swept through Tuggeranong in the last week of the holidays.
Today, students in Years 8 and 9 joined Year 7 at Wanniassa to start their first school day of 2016.
As usual, the first day involved students readjusting to school life after a long break over the summer.
To help families settle in, the College will hold a number of Information Sessions for parents in the coming weeks:
Major events for the beginning of Term 1 include the Swimming Carnival on 23 February, Opening Mass on 10 March, and Year 11 Retreat on 17 March.

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”
With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
