Sebastian secures Origin spot

Congratulations to Year 11 student Sebastian Kris, who represented the NSW U16 State of Origin side in the curtain raiser to Origin I at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday 27 May.

It has been a year of real opportunity for Sebastian, who was selected to attend the NRL Indigenous Youth Summit in February before his selection for the NSW side in May.

In the lead up to Origin, the Canberra Raiders Junior was able to learn from the likes of Danny Buderus, Jamie Feeney, Andrew Ryan, Paul Sironen and Brad Fittler in their training camp.

NSW Blues icon Andrew Johns presented Sebastian with his team jersey prior to the biggest match of his promising rugby league career.

Unfortunately, Sebastian's influence wasn't enough to stop his side from going down to Queensland 10-6 in a tight, physical encounter.
