The Honours Assembly

Recognising our achievements in 2022

The annual St Mary MacKillop College Honours Assembly was held on Tuesday 21 February at the St Peter’s Campus.

The assembly, which is held every February, acknowledges the achievements of MacKillop’s senior students from the previous year.

Having held the 2022 Honours Assembly in a digital format due to COVID restrictions, we were fortunate to have guests join us in person this year.

The Assembly commenced with an address from our Principal and the presentation of the 2022 College Dux, Georgia Aldred. Since graduating from MacKillop, Georgia has commenced a Bachelor of International Security at the Australian National University.

This was followed by the presentation of a range of academic, community, and leadership certificates, as well as the Year 11 2022 Perpetual Awards.

The College congratulates all recipients on their achievements in 2022! Good luck for 2023!

Acknowledgement of Country

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
