Frozen Jr a great success

Congratulations to the cast and crew!

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the College Musical, Disney’s Frozen Jr, for delivering an exceptional series of performances throughout Week 4.

Several months of hard work and dedication culminated in six high-quality performances at the Padua Campus, with each show receiving rave reviews from the crowds of attendees.

Frozen Jr, based on the Broadway musical and the animated Disney film, tells the story of princesses Elsa and Anna and the magical land of Arendelle.

The cast and crew brought that story to life with quality singing, dramatic acting, theatrical choreography, catchy songs, creative sets, and detailed costumes. The musical also featured singalong performances, a couple of full houses, two casts, and, for the first time in decades, a pair of shows on the Saturday.

Congratulations to the entire cast, production team, backstage crew, sound and lighting technicians, choreographers, stage designers, costume and prop creators, front of house, and all students, parents, and staff who made the production possible. Particular thanks and congratulations to the core production team of Bella van Doorn, Jacinta Paquay, Natasha Brittain, and Veronica Boulton.

After the College was forced to cancel its 2022 production, it was great to see the MacKillop community enjoying the talents of our staff and students once again. Congratulations!

Acknowledgement of Country

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
