Congratulations to the Padua Campus English Coordinator, Mrs Erin White, who received an Australian Council of Educational Leaders ‘Growing in Leadership’ Award last week.

Held on Thursday 14 March at The Loft in O’Connor, the ACEL ACT Awards Evening honoured educational leaders who, in the view of their peers, had made a significant contribution to the understanding and practice of educational leadership throughout 2023.

Mrs White was recognised for her strategic approach as English Coordinator, particularly in the implementation of Catalyst within her faculty, the use of data to inform teaching and learning programs, her leadership of professional learning, and in addressing literacy deficits within the College community. She was also recognised for her exemplary teaching practice and the building of purposeful relationships, networks, and partnerships.

The citation for Mrs White’s award said:
Erin is a highly motivated, professional, and dedicated teacher who always strives to offer the students at the College the best opportunities to learn and make academic progress.

The ‘Growing in Leadership’ Award is presented to teachers who are in the first five years of their career in recognition of their excellent contribution to education in the ACT.
