Learning Alumni Platform
Connections beyond the school
St Mary MacKillop College's Learning Alumni Platform is a professional learning network for past students of the College who are now teachers in ACT.
When students graduate at the end of Year 12, they're still part of MacKillop's story and community. The Learning Alumni Platform gives past students the opportunity to maintain a strong connection with the College and to draw on the expertise of their fellow teachers as they grow and develop as educators.
Aims and Goals
The aim of the Learning Alumni Platform is to engage with the wider educational community in a shared space, reengage and reconnect with graduates to share and respond to teaching experiences, and offer opportunities for professional dialogue/learning.
The goals of this program are:
- To continue the connection with past students of the school
- To promote an active educational partnership with an understanding of the needs of students and teachers;
- To build a community of learners who contribute to the school and wider community and who respect and value diversity.
