Physical Education and Health
The aim of Physical Education and Health is to promote and enhance physical activity and develop healthy attitudes; empowering students to follow an active and fulfilling lifestyle. Students will participate in a wide variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities. The theory component covers the issues of mental health, nutrition, healthy lifestyles, sexual education, drug education, road safety, healthy relationships, safe behaviours, disabilities in sport and the community, and training techniques. Courses are available in Outdoor Education, Physical Education, Active Lifestyles, Sports Development, Sports Training for the Elite, Exercise Science, and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.
The PE Faculty is responsible for the Year 10 Road Safety Course, which culminates in students potentially achieving their ACT Learners Licence. Students can find useful information at the Road Ready website:
