About IT and Industrial Technology

The IT and Industrial Technology faculty covers the fields of Information and Communication Technology and Industrial Technology.

While IT is a key aspect of Teaching and Learning at MacKillop throughout all learning areas, students are also able to take classes in Information Technology in Years 8-12. The Information Technology units on offer at St Mary MacKillop College give students a range of pathways to explore, including Web Design, Robotics, Programming, Game Design, Workplace IT, 3D Modelling, Animation, Software Design, Database Systems, and Multimedia.

Industrial Technology can be taken as an elective subject in Years 7-12. Students are able to study units in Woodwork, Metalwork, Materials and Design, Systems Technology, Technical Drawing/Graphics, Automotive and Aviation Systems, Advanced Design, Construction Pathways, and Furniture Construction. Students at the Isabella Campus are given the opportunity to gain vocational qualifications in the new Trade Training Centre.
